The lovely holiday destination of Wilderswil is about 4 km (2,5 miles) south of Interlaken. Together with its neighbouring villages of Gsteigwiler and Saxeten it is an ideal place to relax, offering peace and quiet in a wonderful rural landscape. There are excellent opportunities for excursions, sport and walking in the vicinity and further afield. There are 17 comfortable hotels, restaurants, supermarket and souvenir shops.

Places to visit: The village museum "the old mill" which has special exhibitions, Garden of local plants ( a place of peace and relaxation), The ruins of Unspunnen and Rothenfluh (viewpoints) The bridge, churchyard and church at Gsteig (a 12th/13th century "reformed protestant church) Old wooden chalets (Bärenplatz with the 16th century "House of the Bear")Events: During the summer season the Wilderswil Tourist office arranges special events-weekly tours round the village, guided walks, visits to places where alpine cheese is made, open air concerts. There is an open-air play about William Tell staged from June until the beginning of September in Interlaken, Folk evenings and special events take place in the Casino at Interlaken. Visit to the themepark "Mystery Park Interlaken".Sport: Walking, mini-golf, tennis (outdoor and indoor courts), hang-gliding and paragliding. Almost all sporting activities can be undertaken in the vicinity of Wilderswil. Golf, waterskiing, wind-surfing, sailing, horse riding, mountain climbing, bungee-jumping, canoeing, rock climbing, rafting, swimming in the lakes of Brienz an Thun, and also in the heated pools at Bönigen and Interlaken.

- Drive through the village, after ca. 250m after the Ristorante Pizzeria Luna Piccante Restaurant, turn right by the sign "Camping Oberei 8"

Our campsite is situated in the heart of the quiet village of Wilderswil, which lies nestled on the outskirts of the "Bödeli"
between the lakes of Brienz and Thun and is also located at the entrance of the Lütschinenvalleys that lead to Grindelwald
and Lauterbrunnen. It lies at an altitude of 580m above sea level. It is an ideal starting-point for an endless variety of walks, for excursions using the numerous means of public transport available, or by car to the stunning mountains and lakes in the area. The distance to the local bus station is only 100 m, and the railway station is a short eight minute walk away.
